I’m really excited to be presenting an upcoming *FREE* webinar on Authentic Learning for Online and Blended Courses with Tracy Miller, for the POD Network Teaching with Technology Special Interest Group!
Authentic Learning: Experiential & Inquiry-Based Learning in Online & Blended Courses
Wednesday, August 2, 2017, 12pm-1pm Central time
With Stephanie Richter and Tracy Miller from the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center at Northern Illinois University
Moderator: Georges Detiveaux from the University of Houston-Downtown (Chair, Teaching with Technology Special Interest Group, POD Network)
When designing an online course, remember everything doesn’t have to happen online or in isolation of the world around us. You can create authentic experiences for your online students, such as field experiences, real-world activities, and genuine, skill building tasks. In this online workshop we will explore ways to craft authentic experiences and assessments for our online students.
This free event is brought to you by the Teaching with Technology Special Interest Group of the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network.
Those who register by Tuesday, August 1 will be sent the link for the event
